- Private sector lender Kotak Mahindra Bank on October 26 reported a 7 percent year-on-year decline in standalone profit at Rs 2,032 crore for the September 2021 quarter due to higher provisions. But supported by higher other income, the profit was ahead of analysts' estimates. However, net income sequentially grew by 24 percent on sharp decline in bad loan provisions.
- Private sector lender Axis Bank on October 26 reported a healthy 86.2 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth in standalone profit at Rs 3,133.32 crore for the quarter ended September 2021 (Q2FY22) owing to a significant fall in provisions.
- According to pivot charts, the key support levels for the Nifty are placed at 18130. If the index moves up, the key resistance levels to watch out for are 18390 .
- Top five IT services companies – TCS, Infosys, HCL Tech, Wipro and Tech Mahindra – together added close to 1.7 lakh people in the first nine months of this year on the back of strong demand and rising attrition.
